Samuel Kuntz, founder of Kuntz & Son Inc, took advantage of an excellent business opportunity by delivering local milk to the Hershey Chocolate Factory. Today, Kuntz & Son, Inc is one of the original family businesses still delivering milk to Hershey. While milk delivery has remained the foundation of their services, Ray Kuntz (grandson of Samuel) saw a new opportunity arise from neighbors converting home heating systems from coal to fuel oil.

 In 1957, Ray started delivering fuel oil to his local neighbors.  As that division of the company grew, Ray needed help in the office and in the late 70’s hired his daughter Peggy Schrom.  Over the next 20 years, Peggy managed the fuel oil division of Kuntz & Son Inc. and in 1997 she took ownership of the fuel division and changed the name to Peggy’s Fuel Oil. 
 
Peggy continues to run the company and her customers remain her top priority!
